Absolutely in favor of the complete or most complete terraforming of mars. And everything within the solar system. We can adapt what we want, and ourselves to fit the rest. Full breathable atmosphere at low points, flowing water where possible, self-sustaining ecosystems that provide a solid influx of resources (organic or otherwise). What possible arguement against any of this holds ground?

Seed low valleys (okay, fine, maybe after heating them and causing some CO2 build up) with plant matter and insect colonies. Sure, gene mod the two so they are more survivable in this oxygen deprived, colder, drier climate. Give them time. They will begin fixing CO2 and oxygen, raising temperatures, storing water, and it doesn't require much human intervention. In theory.
Gaia theory doesn't just apply to earth, we can use this ideology to create self-sustaining closed loop systems that grow in strength.
